An inventory provides evidence of the contents and condition of your rental property, thereby offering protection against disputes at the end of a tenancy.

Without an inventory, there is no evidence to prove that a tenant caused damage. We recommend you get an inventory done by a professional - even if you don't use us!

SO WHY NOT DO IT MYSELF?

You can, and some do. Keep in mind though, that compiling an inventory is easy to do badly and difficult to do well.

A door, for example, one might assume it is acceptable to say black and white door with metal handles, instead we would say:

Remember also, a professionally compiled inventory is not just a list of the objects inside a property, it is a schedule of the plight and condition of its fixtures, fittings and contents.

Being independent, a professional inventory provider is more likely to be deemed free of bias which could be important if an inventory is scrutinised by a court of law or an adjudicator.
